7:30 PM Masked Marvels & Wondertales
Masked Marvels & Wondertales features breathtaking hand-crafted
masks, original stories of courage and wonder, outlandish
stilt-dancing and physical repertoire. Michael Cooper is
a gifted mime, master craftsman, captivating storyteller
and a confident showman. His hour-long program, presented
without intermission is a celebration of all things magical.

PM TO 8:00 PM "Contemporary Art" Show Reception
The "Contemporary Art" show reception will honor
the artists of the abstract art and realistic with a different
twist at the New Braunfels Art League Gallery. It is a judged
show, and the winners will be announced at the May 2 reception.
The New Braunfels Art League Gallery is located 1 1/2 blocks
west of Main Plaza on W. San Antonio St.
May 3 -10:00 AM TO 10:00 PM WEIN & SAENGERFEST
The New Braunfels Wein and Saengerfest is a unique Heritage
festival blended with old but familiar traditions in our
rich German Heritage, music, and wine making! Held in charming
Historic Downtown New Braunfels near the banks of the Comal
River, this festival has something for everyone! Texas wineries
are invited to participate in a wine tasting event. A variety
of musicians will perform throughout the day, with Music
On The Plaza Saturday evening from 7:00-9:00PM. The Art
Show and Market will feature talented artists and craftsman
from throughout the state and beyond. The Art Show is a
juried show, with awards for wine and song related art entries.
Other special events include A Grape Stomp, Weinstein University
(wine related informational seminars), GO TEXAN Products,
food booths, beverage booths, cooking demonstrations, food
and wine paring seminars, and children's activities and
events. Come experience the historic charm and rich heritage
of Downtown New Braunfels! IH-35 Exit #187, West on Seguin
Avenue, approx. 1 mile to Main Plaza, festival is located
on West San Antonio Street. Public Parking located throughout
the downtown historic district.

Visitors can learn all about bison, animals that have survived
in North America since prehistoric times, at the Texas
Bison Festival, at the Lyndon B. Johnson State
Park. "Bison in Texas: The Past, Present & Future"
features the park's bison herd and includes exhibits; educational
presentations; a Native American area with music, dancing
and storytelling; an early Texas Western living history
area; cowboy music and poetry; children's activities; bison
meat to sample, and arts and crafts. Admission is $5 for
adults and free for children ages 10 and under. The park
is off U.S. 290 outside Stonewall, between Fredericksburg

Popular entertainer Joe Scruggs is back with the Nanny Nanny
Boo Boo Musical Revue, a hand-clapping, foot-tapping, sing-along
event for the whole family. The revue, presented by the
Children's Fine Arts Series at Laurie Auditorium,
715 Stadium Drive on the Trinity University campus. Tickets

8 - 5:30 PM TO 8:00 PM SAFEhaven Bike Rodeo
The SAFEhaven Bike Rodeo is a city-wide event open to all
children ages 5 to 12. Kids can hone their riding and critical
thinking skills on courses specially designed by a national
bicycle safety expert. There will be free helmets for the
first 50 kids registered, as well as prizes, fun and entertainment

Take the Seguin Ave. exit off of IH-35, turn west onto Seguin
Ave. and proceed through town to Landa Park Drive. Turn

Join the Park Ranger in exploring a short distance into
Panther Canyon. Learn about the history of New Braunfels,
Landa Park, Comal Springs and the fundamentals of hiking,
plant and wildlife identification and the natural resources

Gospel Brunch with a Texas Twist in Gruene Hall
In the tradition of a New Orleans-style gospel brunch, we
